Chariot ordered to put brakes on commuter service in SF

Chariot, the commuter shuttle service owned by Ford Motor Co., has quickly shut down service in San Francisco after a regulator mentioned it failed some security inspections.

Chariot, headquartered in San Francisco, mentioned it hopes to renew service quickly.

“We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and can warn you instantly as soon as we reopen service, as we count on to resolve this disruption rapidly,” it wrote in an e mail to clients.

The California Public Utilities Fee ordered Chariot to droop service as a result of it failed three security inspections by the California Freeway Patrol.
